Swim School Term Activities
Let the Active Tribes Swim School teach your child one of the most important skills they can have - the ability to swim. It doesn't matter if your child has never tried lessons, or if they are at the other end of the spectrum and need some professional coaching to develop their talent - Active Tribes has dedicated teachers who can help.
Active Tribes Swim School is located at the UQ Aquatic Centre located at The University of Queensland, St Lucia and at Milton State School Pool, Milton. All teacher are AUSTSWIM qualified and Active Tribes Swim School is proud to be a member of Swim Australia and AUSTSWIM.
Participate and Progress - Swim school levels
Catering for all skill levels, from learn to swim to squad training, children are placed into a class according to their swimming ability. There are eight class levels starting at Nursery (6 months - 2.5 years), to Nursery Transition (2.5 - 3 years) all the way to Level 6.

Classes run for 30 minutes and are typically offered seven days a week. To allow the best results for your child, enrol them in a minimum of two lessons per week. To help you make this more affordable, the second lesson each week is half price. Two lessons per week allows plenty of time to practice all the skills taught, leading to a better retention of knowledge and rapid improvement in swimming ability.

UQCanSwim
UQ Can Swim is designed for children aged between 3 and 12 who lack confidence or have difficulty in a water environment. UQ Can Swim works on goals such as improving fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, memory, organisation, self-esteem and confidence. It also helps develop coordination and body awareness, self-esteem and confidence, socialisation, water safety, motivation to exercise, health and wellbeing. Find out more.
