Tennis Head Coach Finalist in Tennis QLD Awards
Fri, 14 Oct 2011
The Queensland Tennis Centre's Head Coach, Scott Rawlins, has been nominated as a finalist in the 2011 Tennis Queensland Awards for the category of Coaching Excellence in MLC Hot Shots.
This is a great achievement for Scott, with this nomination being a testament to the great work he has put in at the Tennyson centre to grow participation and enjoyment in tennis, particularly at the grassroots level.
Scott has been instrumental in developing, running and growing the MLC Hot Shot events which are run at both the Queensland Tennis Centre and the UQ Tennis Centre throughout the year. Scott also heads up the Active Tribes junior coaching program at Tennyson, which is also based on the MLC Hot Shots philosophy of using modified courts and balls to give children the chance to serve, rally and score from the beginning stages of their tennis development.
The 2011 Tennis Queensland Award winners will be announced at the Awards night on Saturday 29 October.
