Active Tribes is a fun, friendly and social program of kids sporting activities that are offered by UQ Sport* at a range of venues including UQ St Lucia, the Queensland Tennis Centre, Tennyson and Milton State School, Milton.

Sports activities to keep your kids busy

Programs are suitable for children from the ages of six months, right through to 17 years. A variety of skill and fitness levels are catered for, and all sports are delivered in a fun and supportive environment.

Sports that children love

At Active Tribes we encourage young children and teenagers to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity and sport. But most importantly we believe that sport should be fun, so we make sure kids have an awesome time!

School holiday and school term programs

Active Tribes offers a large range of activities both during the school term and over the school holidays, and caters to juniors of all abilities and fitness levels. With a swim school, athletics, tennis and a variety of multi-sports and recreational activities on offer, children will have the opportunity to develop a range of social and sporting skills in a safe and fun environment all year round!

Years of experience in teaching sport to kids

UQ Sport* has been running holiday sports programs for children for over ten years, formerly under the UQKids brand. In January 2010, Active Tribes was launched to reflect the variety of kids sport on offer.

We pride ourselves in providing excellent programs, having staff that inspire and make a difference, and offer the programs in first class sporting facilities.

Child Care Benefits (CCB)

Child Care Benefit (CCB) is available for those attending the ActiveSports and ActivePlay holiday activities. If you wish to claim the Child Care Benefit you can do this through our online enrolment procedure as well as by phone or in person. Please register with the Family Assistance Office first.
